Desk Note: Checking PM-KISAN beneficiary status online

Desk-based review of the public PM-KISAN beneficiary-status page. No beneficiary account was accessed and no personal information was submitted.

DESK-BASED DIGITAL SERVICE NOTE

What the official page displays
The PM-KISAN “Know Your Status” page asks for a registration number and captcha; it states that an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. The page lists account fields such as payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode, whether the account was credited, and the credit date.

Why this matters
The public page describes a self-service route for checking payment-related information, but completing the journey depends on access to the required registration details and registered mobile number. The list of fields on the page is not evidence that a particular payment has succeeded.

The page displayed a last-updated date of 17 February 2026 when reviewed for this note.

Method and limits
Desk review of publicly visible page content on 15 October 2026. No login, beneficiary lookup, interview, field visit, or transaction was performed. This note describes the interface wording only; it does not evaluate actual user outcomes.

Anonymisation: No interviews, personal records, or identifiable individuals were used. Do not submit Aadhaar, mobile numbers, OTPs, or registration details when reproducing this review.

Limitations: This is a snapshot of a public webpage, not a test with farmers. It does not establish whether any individual receives a payment, how well the process works in practice, or whether the page is accessible on every device or network. Verify current instructions before relying on them.

Desk Note: PM-KISAN e-KYC and status notices

Desk-based review of notices and navigation on the public PM-KISAN homepage. No individual beneficiary record was accessed.

DESK-BASED DIGITAL SERVICE NOTE

What the official page states
The PM-KISAN homepage states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers and notes that biometric-based e-KYC is available through specified authorised channels. The page also describes suspected cases that may fall under exclusion criteria and says benefits in such cases have been temporarily withheld pending physical verification; it directs people to check individual status through the official status tools.

Why this matters
A general scheme announcement and an individual eligibility or payment decision are different things. The homepage itself points users toward case-specific status checks, so a general notice should not be treated as proof of an individual outcome.

Method and limits
Desk review of publicly visible homepage content on 15 October 2026. No beneficiary data was entered and no person was contacted. This note does not independently verify the cases mentioned by the portal or assess how physical verification is carried out.

Anonymisation: No personal data or human participants were involved in this desk review.

Limitations: The content reflects what the official homepage stated at review time. It is not an independent audit of eligibility, payment release, physical verification, or service delivery. Scheme rules and notices can change; check the official portal for current information.

Desk Note: Finding the PM-KISAN grievance route

Desk-based review of the public PM-KISAN grievance query form. No grievance was filed and no personal details were entered.

DESK-BASED DIGITAL SERVICE NOTE

What the official page provides
The public PM-KISAN grievance page provides options to raise a grievance and check status. It explains that a temporary ID can be used where a registration is new or awaiting approval at some level. The page contains fields for grievance identification and a description, along with a captcha and document-upload control.

Why this matters
The page indicates that the portal distinguishes between a new or pending registration and an existing registration when a person tries to raise or track a grievance. The presence of an online form alone does not show whether the complaint will be resolved or how long that will take.

Method and limits
Desk review of publicly visible page content on 15 October 2026. No grievance was submitted and no complaint record was accessed. This is not an assessment of grievance outcomes or the experience of any applicant.

Anonymisation: No complainant records, personal details, or interviews were used.

Limitations: Review of the form does not establish response times, complaint-resolution quality, or whether any specific complaint was accepted or resolved. Use the official portal for current steps and do not include sensitive information in public reports.
